Fairy in the window

Fairy in the window

Fairies are personifications of human wishes or frustrations in the form of little people with magical powers. They appear in most folk traditions under various names, usually as nature spirits enjoying their own lives at a supernatural level, sometimes meddling in human affairs. Their importance in symbolism is mainly orally and literary. As their name (derived from the Latin fata, “fate”) suggests, they appear essentially to explain gently the workings of destiny with its unpredictable gifts or disappointments. Fairy Tales are exceptionally rich in symbolism, psychological and social, portraying the challenges presented by the different stages in life.
Fireflies by Faith Hill stirs the magic of imagination, fairies and fireflies…;)
