I am a practicing Set Designer and Scenic Artist. I love all forms of art. During my travels and free time I like to experiment with mixed media: painting, photography, sketches, collage and photoshop.
Bobbie received her MFA in Theater with a concentration in Scenic Design and secondary emphasis in Lighting Design from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Her passion for design and artistic vision has gained her many awards and honors – Mordecai Gorelik Award for Excellence in Scene Design, Archie Award for Best Scene Design, and most recently having two of her designs chosen for the 2011 Prague Quadrennial Exhibition. She also received many glowing reviews in the St. Louis, MO newspapers for her set design of Wole Soyinka’s Death and the King’s Horseman directed by Segun Ojewuyi at the St. Louis Black Rep. and the McLeod Theater. Bobbie also has a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design.
Most recently, Bobbie’s set design work was seen in London and Nigeria as part of the “Preemptive/Seven World Tour 2010”
