This is about as far from the coast as you can get in Ireland, it’s in the beer garden of Mikey Ryan’s Pub in Cashel. A wonderful old style boozer with peat fires in winter and a real sugawn kitchen.
I’ve no idea why there is a hurricane lamp and a few shells in this old shed’s window, but it made a nice study and was fun to do in photoshop. The shed by the way is next to the jacques.
Mikey Ryan’ is the unofficial town hall , nearly every community group from drama to the historical societies meets in the back kitchen of Mikey’s. It has an international dimesion too. The bar maid is Heidi, she’s German but has a strong Tipperary accent. One day I’ll do a photo essay on the place….
