…I can give you lots of love…
He is one of the 4 pilgrim geese that is left at our Yacht club, situated near Potchefstroom,
South Africa. They were six and slowly disappeared one by one, till they started breeding. I convinced enough members to help protect them and my reward…4 very tame geese following me around. It`s the closest that I will ever be, to keeping geese myself, and I would love to have been able to adopt all four .They all became very tame, but this one more so and I fell in love with him.
Combined textures ,brushwork, with a feather, and heart necklace, with the goose all done in Photoshop.

WONDERFUL! SUPERB! What a great image – you did a fabulous job with it and such a great story! I had never heard of pilgrim geese but will Google them.

  • Thank you…Hope you found some info on the Pilgrim geese..I did a lot of reading to understand the dif between male and female and also on their breeding..;0)) I named my one image wrongly,by naming the goose a Emden geese, but they look so similar. The six we had were 3 gray and 3 white .So now I know male and female..;0)) Nobody knows how the six of them came to be at the club, but being almost a year now in June, I am super pleased having them around. They respond, when I call them and they do follow me.The one in my image,is so tame I can stroke him, and when I spoil them with fruit and pellets,he will gently pull on my arms or hair or clothing to make sure I dont forget him …;0)) Really a Blessing and I pray the four left will be with us for a very long time .One female and 3 males. One in the image not from the original group .The others allow him in the group but at a distance.Think very young still and maybe why so extra tame,.Thank you for lovely comment and interest.;0))
