Profile

Born in 1968 in rural Northamptonshire. I
received my very first camera as a child….and that
opened up a whole new way for me to express myself
like no other art medium allowed.
This new expression matured and evolved, and I dis-
covered the great tonal and textural qualities of pho-
tography. Formally trained, with an arts background I
found photography to be a more satisfying creative
medium.
Looking back to what the world around me once was,
I feel my photography has a strong sense of home
and is a pure reflection of me. After all, If I were a
writer I would not put pen to paper on a subject I
knew nothing about. My subjects show what I feel
and know…. and It is comforting to capture and reflect
that.
There are times for rules, and times to break the rules.
My images accomplish both. By adopting a graphic
style, concentrating on tone, detail and above all tex-
ture, you can get a sense of my style and approach
when viewing the world.
