Thanks Olga. The tannins from the surrrounding buttongrass actually make the water brown, but the nature of the day reflected the blue sky off Dove Lake.

G’day Christopher, a fella by the name of Joseph Fossey gave it it’s name back in 1826, and I’m not sure what he was on. I’ve been on top of it, flown over it and around it, and I can’t see any cradle. I might not be looking at it in the right context to what he saw. Still love it though. Hope that helps Mate.

Thank you Wendy. I wish I could get up to the Lake every day but work restricts when I can get there. It’s only 7km’s away and I can see the mountain out of my lounge room window, but getting away to enjoy it is sometimes impossible. Make the most of the opportunities I guess!!!!!
