In the deep greenish forest,
There were two baby owls.
When they got hungry,
They called mama with their howls.

They always waited on a brown log,
Because they were scared of a frog.
Their eyes were always wide open,
For food from mama they were hoping.

Then one summer day she when missing,
And from the tree they heard some hissing.
They knew that the sound was from a snake,
So all night they made sure to stay awake.

In the sky they saw the orange moon,
And hoped that mama would come soon.
They could here the flapping wings of bats,
And they thought of mama bringing rats.

Night passed and the sun finally came out,
Mama showed up and they greated her with a shout.
And when the snake tried to harm her little babies,
She kept it from inflicting them with the rabies.
