Tim Rogers was born in Philadelphia, PA. At the age of nine, a class in elementary school put a camera in his hand. After working through the process of taking a picture, developing the film, and printing an image Tim was hooked. Tim is a photographer of people and he loves to work with vivid color. His photographic goal is to create and image of you that will last a lifetime.
Tim Rogers has been involved in photography for over 30 years and specializes in capturing a unique view of a person. He has shot many celebrities such as David Banner, Melyssa Ford, Angell Conwell, Jarvis Hayes, Taraji P. Henson, Darnerian McCants, Esther Baxter, Hassan Johnson, Moni Love, Shawne Merriman, Bruce-Bruce, and Sabrina Skye. He also shoots events in which he has been able to capture images of Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, New Edition, Boys II Men, Gerald Levert, Christina Milian, Clinton Portis, Charles Dutton, Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy, Julian Bond to name a few.
Tim has shot a host of events from weddings to birthday parties to corporate and entertainment projects. His list of corporate events includes the NAACP convention, Howard University Medical Alumni Association, Baltimore School for the Arts, and Ameriprise. His entertainment events have included the BET Hip Hop Awards for 2006 and 2007, the Ludacris Foudation awards banquet, and the Clinton Portis Welcome Gala.
Tim’s steadfast professionalism, easy-going personality and ability to capture a person’s “inner” on the “outer” has made him the go to photographer for publications based in DC and the Mid-Atlantic region. He is published in Da Book Magazine, Elan Extreme Magazine and locally in Streetz Magazine. Additionally, Tim’s images have been used to illustrate a work out book, various model calendar projects and portfolio shoots with models from around the country.
Recently Tim created a fine art project called Creative Glow, the black light series, in which models are painted with florescent paint of many colors and then photographed under black light. Using the body as a canvas, Tim creates colorful designs and paints the body in motion. Capturing poses that flow with the contrast of the bright colors shining through the darkness. Each design is unique, just like the body on which it was created.
