    Cool idea, well done!

  • Thanks John – we were actually waiting for the sunset and I turned around and saw our shadows on the rock behind us and that “that looks like a cool photo!”. It attracted a bit of comment also on the ExplorOz forum

    That’s really cool

  • Thanks again Karina – as mentioned, just happened to turn around the other way to the sunset that we were watching and see out shadows! It wasn’t so easy composing the shot without getting a shadow of someone obviously taking a photo! (I’m the one on the left)

Great shot, Tim! Fantastic play of light and shade. Love it!!

  • Thanks Merrilyn – yes, there were more opporunities to play around with the fading light from the setting sun than there was time to capture them all. We were up early the next day for sunrise as well, but could have easily spent more time with the many photographic opportunities!

This is a cool shot Tim … very creative.

  • Thanks Michael – it’s generated a bit of interest (here and elsewhere – almost won a competition with it last year!) but I must admit I didn’t really plan it – I just turned around, saw our shadows and thought “that might be worth a photo” – and I’m glad I did!

Wow, great idea and great capture Tim!!! :))))

  • Thanks Vicki. Actually it was a bit of a lucky shot: I just happened to turn around and see our shadows and thought “I must get a shot of that!”
