Lost in the Cold Smoke
Technically, ‘cold smoke’ is the vernacular for powder snow at Bozeman, Montana’s Bridger Bowl ski area. I like the term so much I decided to co-opt it for this image of my father-in-law snowmobiling in the mountains above Cooke City, Montana.

I don’t think I’ve ever met someone besides me that knew the definition of cold smoke! LOL : ) This is an excellent photo…I’m jealous! : ) I grew up in MT, but have been living in PA for 8 years. Hope to be back in MT within 3 or 4 years. My family spends a lot of time snowmobiling in the high country, so this is a very familiar sight! Thanks for bringing back wonderful memories!

Ha! – I’m glad someone saw this who knows what it means! I grew up in Wyoming, but Montana sure feels like home now (been here for 15 years). We love getting into the mountains near Cooke City – snow like this even makes a geek like me whoop and holler! Thanks for the comment!
