Mike McGlothlen
received his first camera when he was 10. His father helped him build a small darkroom shortly after. Over the years Mike has dabbled in painting, sculpting, & wood working as well as photography. Feeling himself a jack of all trades, master of none, Mike returned to school in 1988 to receive a degree in commercial photography. He then honed his photography skills in the large commercial studios in High Point, North Carolina. During this time period he was forced, with one arm tied behind his back, to learn how to use a COMPUTER. This was Mike’s turning point in his artistic abilities, being able to combine his love for art with his photographs. More of Mike’s work can be seen at the following sites:
