An illustration to “Alien Pirates,” by Tim Longwell.
SYNOPSIS: An alien halfbreed and his space entertainment troupe are challenged by alien pirates, who take hostages at a deep space mining colony. The year is 3457 after the destruction of Earth. Humanity is scattered all over the galaxy as a minority of refugees, suffering mockery and mistreatment by xenophobic aliens, warmongers, and all kinds of privateers. Being clever and resilient by nature, the humans survive—sometimes using illegal tricks. Read an excerpt at Sci-Fi Almanac

Can’t believe you’ve only got a couple of comments so far Bob – this work is sensational. I sometimes find that sci-fi art is less appreciated in general compared to ‘straight’ stuff for some reason. These masterpieces of yours ranks with the best of the rest, up there with Boris and other great artists of the genre. I can only guess you get plenty of commissions – you deserve them.
