Peel back the quilted covers
Float on its sea of linen white
Aboard the boat that lovers sail
To that isle of sheer delight.
The moon and stars will guide us
As we sail in the darkening day
To the harbour that’s half hidden
With its whitewashed cobbled quay.
The tides of time are with us
The west’s winds gently blows
As kisses are planted in the garden
Where natures wild beauty grows.
The grey Heron stands on a stilts
The anchors are weighed once more
As in the harbour of our arms
We nestle upon its golden shore.
We feed on heavens oysters
From its moonscape lustred shell
And pluck the pearls of wisdoms
where love, casts its magic spell.
You tempt me with Eden’s apples
That drip colour from every bough
And crumble the walls of resistance
the shyness disappears some how
We enter the caves of discovery
The waves thud, thunder and crash
The demons that bayed for our blood
Yelp, as from this true love they dash
They hide in the cloistered hollows
Where the lonely , the good often dwell
And tempt them with seeds of destruction
Enticing them to play in their hell .
Lovers delight on the island of dreams
Where only those being true come ashore
To dance and leave footprints for ever
On the sands of the hearts they adore.
