A vintage family photograph, processed in Photoshop in order to eradicate dust and scratches and enhance the original.
This is a photograph of my parents, Benedicta Leigh and Richard Vernon, outside their flat in Courtfield Road, off Gloucester Road, London, SW7, in 1955. It looks as if my father has a small pencil in his hand and was, perhaps, measuring up for one of his endless projects. These were rarely finished but he did love playing around in his workshop with wood and nails! It was a very difficult upbringing because my mother was a manic depressive (or bi-polar, as they now call it) and my father was an actor who was often away on location.
