Several vintage illustrations and textures have gone into this picture, with a Hubble space photograph as the background image; this last was altered and distorted by the top layers and by blending. All images from Wikimedia
I was inspired by The Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham, the English science fiction author, which was first published in 1951. I say ‘inspired’ but in fact I was simply playing around with the various images and the end result made me think of triffids!
I am a self-employed actress, artist and writer who has always loved creating art of one form or another. Thank you for all comments and forgive me if health problems prevent me from always replying.
