Top 10 Challenge Winner Artists on Facebook 2011.

I took this photograph in 1987 while on holiday in Taormina, Sicily. I fell in love with everything about the place, not least its ice cream and marzipan! But I particularly relished the beautiful, cobbled passages off the Corso Umberto. The image has hung in every one of my homes since.

I love this capture it makes my feet itch to go and explore again and walk down exquisite little passages such as the one you have captured to beautifully here.

  • Thank you so much, Sandra. It’s an old capture from ‘87 and I long to go back. Although with Mount Etna pouring out lava at the moment, perhaps now would not be the best time! Yes, it’s always passages that entice me too.
