The Invisibility Cloak

Man is the cruelest animal.

I am under the cloak.
I am the invisible man.
I am invisible ink.

I am nothing.

The screams rip through me.
The fights wear me down.
The anger burns within.
The jealousy consumes me.

I am so very sick of all this.
I just wanted to hide.

I grabbed the cloak and I wrapped myself up.
I disappeared from sight and I sighed.
I was free.
I was alone.

I tried to escape.
The darkness dragged me down.
I was captured,
I was the prisoner.

Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.

I ran from the beast.
I ignored the pain.
I hid from the world.

I do not scream.
I do not feel.
I do nothing.
I am nothing.

I cannot get angry.
I cannot get jealous.
I cannot be sad.

I am fat.
I am stupid.
I am a failure.

It is hard enough to remember my opinions, without also remembering my reasons for them!

I have no reasons. I have no life. I have no saviour. I have no hope. I have nothing.

I ran from the world and hid from those closet. I wrapped myself up and built the walls around me and when I wanted out I couldn’t.

I tried to save myself and instead I trapped myself in the abyss.

You need chaos in your soul to give birth to a dancing star.

I am Chaos and I am Erebus.
I am the sun as it burns.
I am the moon as it cools.
I am the stars as they implode.
I am invisible.

Invisible from the world and myself.
