Dear diary,
I grow tired of always trying to please.
Today, at Mrs. Merriweather’s garden tea party, I decided it was time to do something a little crazy, cause a bit of a stir and turn a few pompous heads… give them something to talk about besides the delicate pattern on the fine china.
Mrs. Merriweather nearly lost her hat at the sight of me replacing my very best town hat with her antique teapot. Mr. Merriweather thought it was quite amusing indeed…

this little piece was inspired by my love of green tea…..with a hint of mint! ?

Love this and your description. She also reminds me of Liz Taylor in earlier years. But I don’t think she’d wear the teapot, not that she probably hasn’t wanted to.But then she’s caused her ow kind of stirs in her own wonderful way.Can you tell I love her.I would like to see more of her movies, but it was Cleopatra that made me notice her more.My mom had/still has National Velvet paperdolls when I was a still baby,so i grew up admiring here, before I ever saw a movie, from my mom talking about her and Grace Kelly. But now I’m going on,so again I love this.

  • HK – i do see the resemblance now that you mention it! i never thought of that, but yes she could certainly pass as a young elizabeth taylor! ;) and thankyou for your lovely comment :)

Very lovely piece. There is great balance and humour. I also love the accompanying diary verse. It adds so much more to this picture. It makes me love it even more so. }:-)
