oh thankyou yellowbee – extra spesh comment coming from someone who’s work i admire (and think they should sell ha ha)... my friend was feeling sad and i wanted to draw her something and lexy came out…was just sitting on couch doodling away….! i framed the original and gave it to her and she got cheered up :) hehe

I would love to be able to do something like this. I’m good with the pen, where do i start? how how how is it done?

well the how is kind of an illustrator’s livelihood now isnt it ;) he he
but always happy to pass on some tips!! just start with a sketch or doodle you’ve done in math’s class… (hehe) then scan it in and play around in photoshop! layer it up with textures and experiment with colours. the sky’s the limit…..have fun!

so this is still my favorite, i saved it and have been looking at it all night lol.
In the background, the middle section.. those wave looking shapes.. look like a painting Gordon Bennett did.. I’m trying to find the painting online to link you up but i’m having trouble.
