Argh! Beautifully taken! One of my favourite basilicas, and you’ve captured some of it’s best angles.

Yeah… just recently I walked around the Duomo… then did it again. Then came back at sunrise… Did it at sunset… and wondered what Michelangelo saw as he peered at the vast thing. You’re answering my question here Tiffany. Somehow there’s not really a wide enough lens… or the ability to step far enough back to capture this colossus. So instead you’ve broken it into parts and reassembled them in the searing mid-day sun. Without the jostlng tourist herds, the beggars, the busses or cars. And as I look at your triptych and squint just a tad… Uh-huh… That’s what Michelangelo saw… And felt…
Thanks for sharing…

Thank you for such thoughtful comments. Wish I had such a way with words!
Thankfully, though, this was taken mid winter! So the sun was not at all searing otherwise I would have been suicidal! Not a fan of summer, me.
