This ship was build in 1914 as a replica of La Grande Hermine, the ship French explorer Jacques Cartier sailed along the St. Lawrence River in 1535. It served as a floating restaurant on the St Lawrence River for many years. In 1997 the ship arrived at the shore of Lake Ontario. In 2003 it was set on fire (arsen) and left to rust and rot. Currently makes a home to Lake Ontario wildlife and creates a lovely landmark and tourist attraction.
