Stairway to Heaven

There is a special place just off the Blue Ridge Parkway where you can climb these stairs to a beautiful overlook. The best times seem to be when the mist is moving in over the mountains. This picture is dedicated to Annie and Jean – my sisters who have climbed these stairs with me!! Taken in Western North Carolina. I used the PhotoShop Orton effect to give this picture an even more dreamy texture.
