Homer took this picture after getting up early and hiking up to a mountain top near Dillsboro, North Carolina in the Great Smoky Mountains in May, 2006. It was sure worth the hike!

thought i would return the visit and this is the one that dose it for me you have some lovely work i love the flatterning of perspective i used to do a lot of photography pe digital and would use for a shot like this a 200 telephoto they would always flatten down not sure bout digital cameras i only got one this year and diont really use it for this kind of work but this has a disinctly oriental feel reminds me of a chinees landscape or a print from japan

In 1995 we had the opportunity to come to North Carolina with our church youth to go rafting on the Nantahala River. I stood and watched the sun come up like this with my mouth wide open as I had never seen anything quiet as beautiful before. Great capture! xo
