Afternoon Nap
While visiting beautiful Folly Beach, South Carolina, in April, 2008, I lay on the bed listening to the ocean waves and watched the sun’s rays cross the room. I grabbed my camera and began taking pictures of the sun’s progress across the wall and came up with this. I’ve always loved the artist Andrew Wyeth and this reminded me a bit of his work.

This to me is a very exciting and outstanding photograph. I love the lines and angles here and the light and shadow interplay. The composition is excellent. You are right. It does remind me of some of Wyeth’s pieces. It is very artistic. The simplicity of the design really makes a powerful and dramatic statement. WELL done, Tibby!!!!
