Question for RB 2

I cannot figure out what the parameters are for what is considered too small an image to make prints, all my works are photographed at the same place with the same digital Nikon camera, but some of my images are listed as too small, how many MBs are at the cut off level, does colors, or width X hight matter or complexity, or light and dark matter. I have software to adjust picture size, but what is it?

The bigger the better! Well … within reason. If you’re uploading files above 20MB they should be compressed more, or scaled down a bit… We don’t print billboards yet!

RedBubble needs big, high-resolution original files to make fantastic prints. We prefer JPEG or PNG file formats, and don’t accept TIFF or PDFs.

What matters most is the number of pixels of your image – file size (in MB) is not a good indicator of whether a file is suitable for printing.

Very Important Note: Please do not manually change the pixel dimensions of your image. We use the number of pixels in an image to determine which sizes are appropriate – if you change the pixel dimensions you will trick our quality control software – but the products will come out looking substandard (e.g. pixilated).

For wall art and cards, please upload JPEGs with pixel dimensions that are equal to or exceed the following guidelines:

Card: about 1300 by 900 pixels (1 megapixel)
Small laminated, mounted or framed print: about 2400×1600 pixels (4 megapixels)
Medium laminated, mounted or framed print: about 3240×2160 pixels (7 megapixels)
Large laminated, mounted or framed print: about 3840×2560 pixels (10 megapixels)

    POSTERS
    Small Poster: about 2500×3500 pixels
    Medium Poster: about 3500×5000 pixels
Large Poster: about 5000×7100 pixels (Yeah A0 is BIG @ 150 ppi)
For t-shirts, please upload PNGs that are 12” x 16” in size, with pixel dimensions of 2400×3200 pixels. You can access a template for t-shirt designs

Note that if your image size or format is not right, this might restrict you from selling some products. We automatically determine which products your file can be used to create, so that we only ship products that both you and we can be proud of.

Yeah, what Gene said. ;) That was taken from our FAQ which has some great info on it.

Also, you can try posting questions like this in the Need Help forum where we are more likely to see it. :)

    Happy bubbling!
