Over the years It’s been an honor to be featured as an artist in various publications and TV features. Nothing national or anything, but it’s been nice to be taken notice of when your work is of interest to other people.
1980
As a Junior in High School I was thrilled to win an ad contest.
I won $50 which was a lot of money to me way back then!
1987
Dallas Life Magazine, a publication of Dallas Morning News liked a hand painted product I was making and featured it in the unique products section of the magazine. The pictures show the magazine masthead, the small feature and a hand drawn ad I did to promote the product.
1989
The Lufkin Daily News did a front page Sunday edition of me making ’ sling shot ’ t-shirts. This caught the attention of TV crews who did a feature of me making the shirts.
1989
As mentioned above, the TV station took interest in my t-shirt making. They did a lifestyles feature.
The reason I’m wearing an old jacket in the heat is to keep the paint from splattering on my shirt.
1997
The business writer did a section on home based businesses. For over 15 years my sign & graphics shop was at the property next to my house. They featured my work in their article showing pros and cons of working from home.

Hey Thom this is great to have a documented history of your achievements. Good on you and well done :)
I have a few little media releases; 1 for receivng an art award, the others mainly for theatre…I was a founding member of a theatre space in the Blue Mountains back in the early ‘90’s before the owner of the building got greedy and we had to close the theatre down :(
