This was taken with a Canon 6D using a Canon 100-400 mm. lens.
This was photographed at High Cliff State Park near Calumet County, WI.
Why does a statue of this Chief exist i cannot say from my research. In a painting it shows this same clothing and pose of the Chief. For some extra and possible enlightening reading here is a link.

I don’t even know where to begin as what i do today goes back to my observations of my youth. I have always spent most of my free time in the outdoors, always in awe of nature and her mysteries. It is so exciting for me to be able to capture some of those exciting moments and share them with the rest of the world.I am always striving to be better at what i do and consider myself a student of the outdoors.
