This was photographed with a Canon 7D using a Canon 100-400 mm. lens.
This was photographed near Plover, Wisconsin.
I finally got the light i was hoping for and it just lights the strutting Prairie Chicken up. Patience and persistence paid off. These are amazing birds and do there best to be seen and chosen by the female.
You can find out more about these Prairie Chickens at I also have videos on YouTube you can view.

I don’t even know where to begin as what i do today goes back to my observations of my youth. I have always spent most of my free time in the outdoors, always in awe of nature and her mysteries. It is so exciting for me to be able to capture some of those exciting moments and share them with the rest of the world.I am always striving to be better at what i do and consider myself a student of the outdoors.
