Well on to me . . .

While I do consider photography an art, I don’t think of myself as an artist. I tend to be too analytical and technical for that. I usualy just take photos because I want to, I love to. I like to photograph everyday objects, and look for something others might not see. Or just to capture a moment in time. Anybody can shoot a building; I want to shoot that building and make people say “I never saw that!”. I also like to shoot the scenic shots that everybody shoots. If nothing else, it shows I was there.

Using photography, I want to help people to pay attention to what’s around them. I beleive if you can’t see something beautiful, your not looking hard enough.

Sure Photography pays the bills, but more then that its what I love to do. I guess I’m one of the lucky ones who gets paid for enjoying my life.

In this day of digital cameras, photo manipulation software and the possibilities of the internet, anyone can call themselves a photographer. I hope that people see what I do as something different. Something special. I see my photographs as a type of utopian world that I can control. I love the limitless possibilites that photography offers me, and I enjoy taking something beautiful and making it even better. Altering photos is not somthing everyone agrees with. However photography, like art, and beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.
