Tshirts?? Yay!!! *jumps up and down and claps*

Posted over 2 years ago

Well I must say I had been waiting on the edge of my seat for the tshirt day to arrive! Patiently though. It’s so good that redbubble is here, to save us aussies from having to source something like this from the US – what with the expensive USD and the up to 2 month (!) delievery times!

I love designing for tshirts. Usually I get my ideas from not being able to find something i like, and …

Gods of Creativity and Art

Posted over 2 years ago

I have done a series of the Gods of Arts and Creativity. My plan was to research a few different ones, from different eras/countries/religions and create an artwork for each.

In total I have researched and chosen 5 Goddesses. For some there is a wealth of info on, others not so much. But it as been fun reading up on different aspects to incorporate into the works from their respective reli…

Gods of Creativity Tshirts

Posted over 2 years ago

A couple people have said they would like to see these Goddesses on Tshirts, the Gods are pleased by this, and will get cracking.

There’s one more to do in the series of 5, but I’m such a tshirt-monkey that I’ll post the other 4, and then the print and shirt image for the 5th together as soon as it’s done.

love this idea, and i’m glad its on the horizon!
any plans for journals – blank, or with lines?

Its always nice to have something inspiriing on the front of things like that.

what do you think?

too big or too small

Posted over 2 years ago

I was wondering everyone’s opinion about tshirt designs?

do you like something big on the tshirt – in your face, making an impact, taking advantage of the space of the tee, etc etc

or something small – minimal, subtle, (some might say) stylish.

i’m for a bit of both myself, but i do like something big and bold.

very much over the “messy look” you still see, what with the deliberat…

So what colour tees get your vote?

Posted over 2 years ago

Thanks Xavier for shedding some light on our tshirt discussion….....

I’ll just post what was said:

Hey, it looks like we should add coloured t-shirts sooner rather than later!

_As webgrrl said, black (and other dark) t-shirts are trickier to do because it’s a different printing process. Printing on black basically means laying down a layer of white directly underneath the design, w…

Just Chicks in Kimonos

Posted over 2 years ago

a few days ago, i was asked by a client of mine, (without seeing them) whether i did Geishas, or just “girls in kimonos?” (ouch!)

i knew what he was getting at…. I’m not implying that my artworks are traditional Geishas (the word geisha is made up of two – Gei = art and Sha = expert)
– i know that there’s a lot to pay attention to when drawing traditional geishas, such as the col…
