I can do hair now.
I was doing this all week. My pesky job kept me away from it for long periods. But one sleep deprived headachey weekend sorted it out. I don’t know what time of day it is now.

Makes me think of Venetian Masks.. wow this is great, like them both; BW and colour .
I’m hoping my son will one day get into the drawing more, he’s 18 and wants to hang out with ‘all’ his friends… does some tribals every now and then just for me ;) i’m gonna show him your work, you never know maybe one day he thinks… didn’t i see some great work somewhere???

I hope it works on him. I take inspiration and techniques from other people’s stuff all the time.
I must redo the colour one for Marina actually but I’m in the middle of a headwrecking pay job right now and just want to get it over me.
Oh! there’s a tip for your son now: Art can be a nightmare at times but if you find out what works for you and do it well enough to be proud of it, its utterly rewarding. Its what I live for.
When I was that age I was the same though. 18 year olds can drink all they want here and that’s what we did.
But let him come around to it in his own time. if its in him and he gets nobody pregnant it’ll come out of him eventually. I’ve only been truly happy with my stuff for the last few years.
Once you get to a stage where only perfection will do you, and you see all the sense in the world in pulling something apart and starting again, and that doesn’t bother you, then you can call yourself an artist and be content. You win some and you lose some after all.
Loads of this might be wrong, I’m just pontifficating off the top of my head, but I hope it helps.

yes it sure does!! I leave him to his youth and when i’old and grey ( oops have those allready ..) i might get lucky and see him do some art….;-) if not it’s ok too, after all it is his life.

You’re very welcome. I’m not sure if its better to learn these things the hard way or what but all my experience is available to any young artist anytime.
