We took a week long trip to Cambodia with the focus on exploring the early 12th century city of Angkor Wat. From Siem Reap, we travelled by Tuk-Tuk to explore the ancient ruins at sunrise. During our drive we came across these Deva statues at the South Gate at Angkor Thom. We asked our amazing driver Mr. Sang to stop to we could hop out and snap some pics. As we visited during the rainy season, by the afternoon the sky had become cloudy and overcast, however, this only added to the mood of the photograph. The Deva faces we captured are an extremely powerful image for us, as the contrast in the photo enhances the depth of the experience.
