I saw this from the car as I was passing. I stopped, expecting it to fly away as they are very timid birds but this one had at least one chick and wasn’t going to leave it. I got a few fuzzy snaps of the chick just from the road. The mother was calling and calling but the chick just didn’t want to stop playing.

Nikon Coolpix P510 at full 42x zoom (a piece of junk which is going back to the supplier but the zoom range is incredible)

Nice shot. I just bought myself the same camera, and although it feels chintzy after using DSLR, I rather like it. I think for a point and shoot the quality of the photos is great and yes…LOVE the zoom!
