I am getting closer. I love this image by Wulfrunnut but cannot get anywhere near to getting such a great shot. This one is the closest so far! The end of its beak was a little deformed so I have cropped it tightly to hide it.

Thanks Walker. Well done with your shot. With mine there was at least as much luck as skill involved. The swan just happened to be in the right position just as I pressed the shutter. Never quite managed one I’m as pleased with in the 5 or 6 years since. One of my earliest shots and still my favourite.
