Awesome Walks!!! Like books on a shelf, 60’s style!! :-))

This one took me ages Robyn. I had to close the program at every stroke for some reason as it was eating all my memory. I am glad you think it was worth the effort.

Magic. I’d love to rework this as a 3D image. Can you free-view 3D image pairs?
TheWalkerTouch replied
I can often make 3D out of everyday repetitive patterns like blinds or the patterned metal on the inside of lifts, just by changing my focussing. I can’t get a 3D image out of this one; I think the spaces between the lines are too irregular and breaks it up too much. Have a look at some of the others. Both of the ‘Holes’ images give a really nice 3D effect, especially when you rotate them 90 degress, like lots of little plastic counters, falling at different angles. I think Boxing Clever does it best (both vertically and horizontally) with lots of quite distinct layers in there if you get the focussing right and Blue Eyes coming a close second. Thanks for reminding me, Duncan. That took me back a few years to when those stereoscopic images came out and I used to give myself headaches trying to focus my eyes right to get to see the images. Not sure if you meant that or not. Just googled and found some stereo pair images and have just devised a way of doing it without any additional software. I really thin my brain has been hit by a thunderbolt or something over the weekend, as it usually isn’t as HOT as this. Oh Duncan, what have you started? I have converted two images to 3D already including this one, and am just trying it on a photograph to see if it works as well there. Watch this space!

Yep, pairs of images, not the single-image stereograms that have thankfully faded into history. If you don’t mind, I’d like to recreate this one as a 3D pair, just to see what happens then.

I have done a 3D version of this now Duncan. See what you think! I can’t believe it was so easy to convert without any additional software.
All your fault. Please accept my grateful thanks!

Yes, I saw it just after I’d posted that comment. Did you change either of the images to make this? To me, it looks like they are both the same, so no real 3D effect… Hard to tell though, with such a crazy image %-)
TheWalkerTouch replied
The images are slightly different. It took just a minute on my normal image editing software and when you cross your eyes just the right amount it goes into 3d although on this one it is not so apparent as the picture gives a 3d effect just on its own. Try the Cherry Blossom when it has finished loading. That really shows the effect well.
