Find me a thousand of reasons to smile…

In a sunrise, – the morning “hello”.
“Goodnight,” – that’s from God, – in a sunset.
In the spring, it’s the wind’s gentle blow,
The blooming of Lord’s magic assets.

It’s the rain when it matches the mood,
And when ruins it soaking us wet.
Although still it can bring out the good,
Reminiscing on love we forget.

A first painful scratch on a knee.
That time when we fell off a bike.
When we took in the grace of just being free,
And when mirror’s reflection had smiled alike.

It’s the day when we went to first grade.
First crush and first friends and an “F” on the test.
For the first time, in being betrayed, -
And, maybe, – alone, set aside from the rest.

And, strangely, – a heart broken down.
A smile is found in that, too.
For always, I know, when we can’t make a sound,
There’s someone to help see us through.

It’s the times when we hopelessly fell,
Abused and have blemished the faith.
Those moments have stories to tell
Of how we got up and found strength to get straight.

But behind every reason to smile for us,
There is one that is greater than all:
There is Someone who smiles at us,
At each thankful smile we find to recall.
