Merry Christmas, Merry Christ

Dedicated to a friend of mine in remembrance of Christmas, 2007. I guess I owe you a thank you. Or should I say “it’s my duty to say thanks?” Haha… kidding :) Merry Christmas.

Written Jul 2008

The moment dragged eternity forever…
Demons from the world of silence polished fright
Inside my child’s heart in last endeavor…
“Patience…” only word that saved me through the night…

Without a meaning no more words were spoken,
Purpose lay within the very last of breath.
I meant no life. A dot. The end. Too broken.
Hurt inside too much, I almost chose my death.

The stairs up that room unchained my fears,
Diving into flawless darkness of my thought…
The battle I have lost through all those years
Killed my hope for winning war, the one I fought…

But still remained His wisdom over vicious,
Finding one who knew enough to ask, “What’s wrong?”
He sent an angel, just like me, ambitious,
Stubborn gently, so mysteriously strong…

It seems it was too long ago to matter,
Yet, my soul remembers goodness done back then;
My heart still treasures it as good old letters…
“Merry Christmas,” calm, I hear you say again…
