Making links, posting photos and making them linkable.
So how’d you like to make a link? Well just follow the instructions below and we’ll have you linking from your journals, forums and main page.
1) Copy the URL of the site/destination you want people to go to.
2) Ok, type a link title. i.e. “Here” “this” “My Book” etc.
3) Next, type a quotation mark (“) at both the beginning and the end of your link title.
4) Then type a colon (:) after the last quotation mark (“).
5) Lastly, paste the URL after the colon (:)
” My Book ” :http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/572970
The above is an example of what it would look like with one minor difference; When you do it, make sure there are no spaces between the quotation marks (“), the link title and the colon (“)
How’d you like to post a pic in a forum, journal or your main page? Follow the instructions below and you be posting pics in no time.
1) Right click on the desired photo and go to properties.
2) Copy the URL for the photo.
3) In the location you want, paste the URL in between two exclamation points (!) making sure that there aren’t any spaces between the exclamation points and the URL.
4) Hit post, done, save or whatever is on the page and you’re done.
Example: ! http://images-1.redbubble.net/img/art/size:large/view:main/2892213-2-almost-there.jpg !
Notice the spaces between the exclamation points and the URL? Remove those spaces.
Now what we’re going to do is make that pic you just posted into a link. Basically were going to combine steps from the first two explainations above.
1) Right click on the desired photo and go to properties.
2) Copy the URL for the photo.
3) In the location you want, paste the URL in between two exclamation points (!) making sure that there aren’t any spaces between the exclamation points and the URL.
4) Copy the URL of the site/destination you want people to go to.
5) Next, type a quotation mark (“) at both the beginning and the end of your first URL, outside of the exclamation points (!).
6) Then type a colon (:) after the last quotation mark (“).
7) Lastly, paste the URL after the colon (:)
Example:
” ! http://images-0.redbubble.net/img/art/backingcolor:white/product:greeting-card/view:preview/2892213-2-almost-there.jpg ! ” :http://www.redbubble.com/people/levimoore/art/2892213-2-almost-there
As before make sure there are no spaces betweem any of the parentheses (“), exclamation points (!), URLs and the colon (:).
