Japanese Tradition, Kyoto, Japan by

One of my favourite things about spending time in Kyoto is the way that women dress in traditional kimono and wander the old part of the city on a Sunday. Its a wonderful way to keep tradition alive. I happened to be walking behind this young girl at the Heian Shrine and was trying to get the light and angle “just right”. As I was about to give up the planets aligned and here is the photograph! I’m just glad she didn’t see me…she would have thought I was crazy!
