Pale
Her skin was so pale, I knew she hadn’t seen the sun in a long time.
I tried to encourage her to come out and play… but she knew it was better if she just stayed indoors, away from the other children.
I tried to insist that she come outside with me, but she wouldn’t come.
I knew the stories I had heard about her weren’t true… but did anyone else?
