I had a dream about a month ago and it was of such an epic scale I thought that maybe I would try and replicate it. I always try to write my most interesting dreams down on paper so later I can remember them. Well this particular dream was so real I could feel the heat of the fire, smell the smoke see all the imagery very clearly. Different images kept coming into the windows so I put ones in that I could remember most clearly. The chickens on the roof were going crazy with fear and running back and forth. The figures on the ground were anonymous and I did not interact with them. I tried to keep to the real dream itself without adding anything, except for the neon sign which I picked because I couldn’t really recall what the one in the dream was. I welcome any interpretations of this dream.!

Larry…this is a sight to behold- wow…each of your works is such a feast for the eyes and imagination! I want to know first up man, what did you have for dinner that night??…This is so wonderful!! I’ll be back to savour this again..I’m sure. There’s gonna be some great interpretations here to read.

dream a lot too nothing like this though… I’d say this is usual for you Larry…..
extraordinarily usual.. you dream with amazing recall clarity and your “eye” for detail is really quite frightening, great ART!

  • I used to have a more interesting dreamlife when I was younger, it seems now I don’t remember as many dreams, I would like to change that, Cheers Banrai

I think the scariest part for me is the clown in the window.. yikes! – I honestly have no idea what this all could mean.. but you did a fantastic job re-creating the scene.. amazing work Larry! :).

  • Yes Rebecca the clown is scary and I remember being scared in the dream of the clown more than anything else, please dont’t have a nightmare because of the clown, Regards

well your dream certainly inspired a fantastic artwork…
without knowing what your feelings were while the dream was in progress, it’s open to any interpretation… what strikes me is your remark about the anonymous figures just watching the scene, and that you had no interaction with them… as if you are aware of catastrophic events but others either are not away of that or remain uninvolved. very interesting work and I love that you added the side notes for us to appreciate the work even more.

  • I remember in the dream walking among the people and them not noticing me, They were watching the scene and involved with each other, I was invisible. Thank you for your comment Carol

Beautiful composition Larry!!! I have a dream book somewhere, but if I remember correctly you have to know something about the person before you can put any kind of interpretations on their dreams. A book can only give you so much information and then its up to you to interpret accordingly!!!

  • I love to interpret my own dreams and also get other peoples take on things, nothing is set in concrete. Thanks so mcuh for your input Greta

    Dear Larry.
Not the first time I see this kind of windows in your works…with figures appearing giving personality to the “soul’s rooms”.
This one is really great for its clarity.
Fire….interesting to getting to know if the fire`s origin….how it was started..was it a bold, an explossion…it comes from a profound place, for it is “vented” up to the sky which it means that there is a air current…that is the way the soul is ventilating. And it has been produced in the “intelectual window”..for there are four, and they for me are representing the “four aspects of the realization body”
And so this house is your own..may be standing there for the contemplation of bewuildered spectators, that are there for a mere curiosity, while your intelect is firign up it energy, with the danger of burning the other rooms down.
There is not mist…humid but smoke dry…and the chickens are part of the flesh…and instinctual body running wild, but all in a row like if a greater order from the intelect would put them up there parading in a real surrealistic way.
The title is there..your name..your not any a real one.
And there is chinese characters…putting into a display your need for communicating and being a world’s man…
Love this piece..and will return to it one of these days..
The atmosphere is really homely…all that you to is an open stage, but you make others to participate into a such special way.
    A hug, Larry.
