THE TAROT DEATH CARD
I always wanted to do a interpretation of one of the Tarot Cards or maybe even the whole deck sometime if I get the energy. Anyway I don’t know why I started with the death card it just turned out that way.
Arcana, does not mean physical death. Rather, the Death card portrays symbolic death-a change or transformation. Often, it heralds the end of a familiar or more comfortable mode. It conveys a release which is necessary for growth and expansion. Perhaps it even brings a whole new set of principles which will guide you spiritually, emotionally, psychologically or financially. Joseph Campbell, author of A Hero with A Thousand Faces, describes times of personal change as periods when “The familiar life horizon has been outgrown; the old concepts, ideals, and emotional patterns no longer fit; the time for the passing of a threshold is at hand.” The sunrise depicted in the background of the Death card holds the promise of the transformation which is about to take place: the death of the old self, but also the dawning of a new day. The Death card is a cue that you are at a “threshold”-a crossing into a new phase, unbounded by the past. The Tarot’s Death Card: A Symbol of Transformation

Dear Larry!!!
Perfectionism is , sometimes a cold definition of the impulse to finish and do things as they are accuratly appearing inside the creative brain.
And it is not bad, it is not a sort of neurotic spasm, but the need to find the mirror of this creativity. And then…it comes contention. One should I stop..when to decide that this is as it is and it does not depend of myself the movement and life of such an event, object…. situation…?
I see perfection in this…a skillfull and loving care…Starting with the fact that you are of the ones….very scarce indeed that are using the real exact proportions of the Tarot Deck.. at least… the classical proportions that are those of a “double square”...the epithome of the Heaven-Earth relationship, from which it is getting born, just in the middle of both, the “Man-square”.
Death is represented as a truly chained figure of the classical skeleton, that is the absolute emanation of the earthly pushing force of Life. And though, in most of the depictings this character is really beheaving heads and hands that are portruding from the ground, here..is sustaining the heads and new born souls on his own shoulders, giving them the nutrition that the hard substance of the minerals is giving to our orgnic beings in order to exist….for we could not exist without the oxigen that the “iron” cells capt from the air.. the hemoglobine…not with the “calcite” bone cells…. not with the “salt” crystals, not with the …and the skeleton is containing the hardestm the toughest of us…a being provided of emotions, thinking, luring, intentions…just a force of Re-vival.
She is a woman…here..but I do not know why..may be for the relation of birthing is linked with her, though the seed has been there planted on ashes.
I love the presence of a sort od “distillation alchemist’s evolution” of the figures here. The perfect control of the “essence” of that which is Ying and that which is Yang…. not being oriental this figuration, it is really archetypical in understanding how the world in presented before us….behind the daily basis reasoning.
I love the soft lighting, not yet darkness… not yet perfect soul-rising….misted with the element of water, that having fall on the “dust-death” is giving birth to Life with mists and shades of Light.
I love the apparent duplication of the new born beings…for it is a perfect depiting of our “mirror-minds”....never truly original, for we depend on the whole for growing, but just unique…a fact that is terrible confusing for our rigidily organized brain. Specially, intelectually.
I love the framing, carefully adorned, and not in a symmetrical way, in order to make us understand that though the center seems a fixed proportioned “home” for development…the outside… is in change and our “skin”....as the frame of the work, is just for breathing and protecting, but never defending or separating us from the whole.
And now.. that I see your horses, remember mine..and see that you have served me as inspiration. Or simply….I had my objects for making the work just in mind…in stock, and the “synchronicity” has made us feel that the horses are as free as wild as these one….
Honored and thankful for your collaboration with Tarot:Map…....
Feel happy today. And I hope that this will be the first of the glorious..pack…
A hug for you.
