NIGHT TRAIN
My wife’s father was a Union Pacific Engineer, He drove huge freight trains across the flat expanse of the midwestern United States. First he was a fireman whose duties involved shoveling coal on the steam engines and later he operated diesel engines. In World War Two he drove trains across Africa, Italy and Europe. I often wondered what it felt like to be in control of a massive one hundred car freight train barreling through the dark of the night.
I created this with clip art and photos.
