THE DOLL HOUSE
I found this fine old house driving around an aged neighborhood. I stopped and took a picture and decided to go inside if I could. The windows were broken and the general atmosphere was one of serious decline. Once inside I wandered through the rooms looking at the devestation that was all around me. I could only think that once this was a fine elegant home where people lived and enjoyed life. I found an old doll lying under some trash and thought of the child who might have grew up in this house. I sensed memories, history and roots embedded in the house that would soon be lost with its demolition and destruction.

This work is three photos blended together with a lot of digital brush work done throughout. I did some image adustments on the layers with duplicate layers and opacity changes. also some masking work with the brush.

Oh dear….!!!!!
what a dream Larry.
You must feel exhausted and blissful aat the same time.
Such a rooting…
for not letting the doll-child grow and go away.
Fering of loosing our home….
rooted to the intense earth,
still and imitating the force of a tree..
We are walking trees..
counting on subtle and strong vibrations.
The doll wedding the house of black birds.
Omens are not necessary,
Life is fullfilling itself,
even to our own sadness..
Intese beauty emerging from the mud,
the house has eyes, ears and heart,
but if is just newly lent…
by your
inner child.
Rosa (I love it with all my heart, Larry)
