Gas Food and Lodging
Digital work done from photos I’ve taken. This piece is derived from some very long road trips I took around the western United States in the seventies when the so called gas rationing was going on at that time. I remember thinking what a hoax and now those trips seem like such a fantasy.

excellent collage. Brings back memories of that gas station on a long dark dessert road where you can fill your gas tank and your belly.

a great job of putting this together Larry. and the 70’s…remember it very well, while working at a texaco station when washing windows and checking the oil was common courtesy. and then the “hoax”...ugh

Yes…. those times.
I have asked today Miguel…
“hey… what is going to happen… ? does anybody think that we can depend on oil products for many years more..? Really… sometimes I feel scared.
And I do not have a car!!!!! not drive.. even we used to have it.
I can see how you see it in a quite nostalgic way… and specially because your life is intertwined with this stuff….gas.
I am going to make an spread of Tarot.. to see what is going on…?
I do not understand about macroeconomy….not even microeconomy…but facts are facts..and we are behaving like the famous “frog in the saucepan”
I lopve the symbolic vision of your pic. The relationship between the map and the roads… the vehicle and the burning space… burning gas… burning times.
Rosa (thanks a lot for your so kind visit to my “InMyLook”

Thanks for your comment and thoughts on things, you are so insightful, I do have a car and do depend on it for my job, I wish it was different for me right now but I have to grin and bear it. As always thanks for your support.
