Johnny is my hero,
He’s the one that I like best,
He’s the one that stands out for me,
Head and sholders above the rest.
He’s always been my hero,
Not because he looks so good,
But because he didn’t take the roles,
That everyone thought he should.
He didn’t believe in sequels,
His characters weren’t always pretty,
Although he dealt in fairytales,
The stories were always gritty.
He has told the story of my life,
In all the films he’s played,
As we are both growing older,
An impression has he made.
I know he loves his family,
His children and his wife,
And although he’s earned his fortune,
He is still in touch with real life.
Now, Johnny’s still my hero,
Even though we’re poles apart,
He’d be welcome in my neighbourhood,
And that comes straight from my heart.
My hero is Johnny, but we kinda figured that.
