Duet in the Autumn sunshine by

(AS IS, Finepix F550EXR, f6.2, 1/220secs, ISO100, -2/3EV)
This might be a long Autumn: lots of trees were still fully clad in foliage up until last week (mid-November), then a few foggy nights and mornings convinced them it’s time to go to sleep for a few short months… These two leaves are still hanging on, for one last day perhaps, enjoying a bit of afternoon sunshine like the tourists on a last day of their beach holiday…
Taken 19th November 2011 in a little park in a London suburb

  • Thank you very much for the very kind feedback, and for adding it to your favourites, much appreciated, I’m glad you like it :) I was walking with my mum in the park near where she lives, and I kept stopping and taking pictures, the autumn afternoon sunlight was just gorgeous!

Delightful. It has been the longest Autumn I can recall. I still have clematis, roses, fucshia and alyssum flowering happily! It’ll catch up with us soon though!! Love these golden leaves and deep sky. Well done.

  • Wow, thank you for such glowing feedback, really appreciated! And as you say, I’m sure it will catch up with us: 0C in our garden this morning, even though the magnolia planted in our house has a full set of new buds, and the forsythia is ready to bloom! Really crazy…
