Last Sunday (first in March 2011) we had a few hours of sunshine (after weeks of cold and grey sky with fine drizzle producing (perfect spherical drops), so out I went in our garden (in a London suburb) and tried to capture the magic of a full-bloom Forsythia (sight for sore eyes at the end of winter). I thought it’s the perfect upload for 8th of March, the 100th International Women’s Day

lovely colour – Spring is definitely in the air :)

  • Many thanks, I’m glad you like it :-) I love the Forsythia, it really brightens even the dullest early Spring day.

Green and yellow are always a pleasing combination and you’ve made these tiny flowers look magnificent!

  • Many thanks for your visit and wonderful feedback, much appreciated! I tried to capture the huge impression they make on me: the first splash of colour after the grey of winter – and what a splash! The one we have in our garden looks like a huge bonfire at the slightest hint of sunshine :-)
