(AS IS, Finpix F31fd)
Featured on the RedBubble Homepage 28 June 2010 – Thank you!!

Bored on the train, too sleepy to try to look outside for individual features, slowly being hypnotised by the blur… Commuter life… lucky to have a seat!

Very good shot. And very eloquent…

  • Thank you very much, I’m very glad you like it. I got lucky that morning, I had a 4-seat (2+2) all to myself, so I woke up slowly ;-) and tried to look outside, but the train was going so fast that I couldn’t distinguish anything, and I thought ’I’ve done this trip so many times, and I don’t know any of these features, places, towns and forests!’ So, naturally, I took a picture of what I could see :-) Thanks again

Aloha, it is a very cool shot :)))

  • Thank you – one of the things this commuter will try to do when finishing the Metro (free newspaper distributed at the main trains and underground station each morning) :-) Thanks for visiting and commenting, much appreciated

The “As Is” part makes this a personal favourite too… I do love that it is so in focus inside and the outside is completely blurred.. :-)

  • Thank you, I’m really glad you like it – thanks for making it a favourite. ‘AS IS’ is my personal favourite style – you know, trying to get it right first time etc. :-) (no all turn out perfect, but there is always hope :-)) Thanks again

I could not agree more and really think “if it’s not good enough then it’s not good enough” :-P I know there are some exceptions and I am not completely unrealistic, but on the whole I prefer “As Is” :-)

  • I’m so glad I’m not alone in this :-) I regard the post-processing software as a mending tool, not an embroidery thing: remove a spot, cut tourist out of the frame, and that’s about it. Transforming a cathedral interior into something that looks like a scene from a video game… not my thing, although I appreciate there are people who regard that as an improvement. I suppose you and I prefer the camera to be our tool, not the computer :-)

This week’s 2nd line feature theme was a storyboard about “Places that I have called home or that are significant to me".

Here is why your image is part of my story

Thankyou for being a part of Feature Friday!!
