On a hot Summer afternoon – happens to be a Sunday, but the view could have been the same even before the introduction of the Christian Calendar! Walking around Plaka, aiming vaguely towards the Acropolis, and turning around a corner, I saw this beautiful view of Athens, from on high, complete with ancient temple – what more could I want?!
This site is listed by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture. For even more information on this temple: the Wikipedia entry
Taken from just under the Acropolis (with my Fujifilm Finepix F31fd, f=24mm, aperture = f/7.1, ISO 100).
The picture was featured in the Mysterious Balkans group.
Another of my postcards from Athens (won the Capital City with Matching Flag challenge and was Featured in the “Capital Cities Of the World” group (the picture is a link to the group)
